Exhibition:
Illustrations of Hincz Gyula
The exhibition was opened in the Vaci Depository at 14 October 2010, titled "Hincz Gyula forgotten artworks". This exhibition is the contiuation of this series, where we can explores various pieces of Hincz's oeuvre.
Hincz illustrated hundreds of books from the 1940s faithfully followed Babits idea that "... the drawing is not a translator of the poet's work: it completes: Because it tells you what the poet can't."
Generations have been raised up reading these children's books (Weöres Sándor: Bóbita, Zimzizim, Radnóti Miklós: Esti mosolygás, etc) created by the visual world. Latter he said: "I feel I can't start visual education early enough . Therefore, I'm gladly I can illustrate these books for childrens. "
